Andre Alfa is also a Mixed Media artist with over a decade of experience working in, with and for the art community. He has worked in multiple industries with Photography, Video Editing, Graphic Design and Fine Arts.
Andre works with poured paint, a technique that allows calculation and chance to operate simultaneously and employs texture and expressive movement to create dynamic, large-scale paintings. Harnessing action and chance, his paintings simultaneously reference abstract expressionism, chaos, performance art, pop art and the pure physicality of paint.
His signature style involves layers of paint built up over weeks or months, lending the canvas a compelling textual quality, and cultural icons from a range of media, employing the faces of Hollywood actors and characters, comic book superheroes, musicians and notorious criminals, as sources of imagery and reflections of the changing culture.
His works are included in private and corporate collections and have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in the United States and abroad.
